This Month Inside Substack
Food, nervous system support and everyday nourishment
From the 17th, this is what we’ll be doing inside Substack this month.
I want to take the pressure off food, health and nervous systems. There is so much noise out there and it can feel overwhelming really quickly.
This month we’ll be covering:
EFT to support the nervous system
I know I’ve been sharing tapping scripts, so this month I’m switching it up. I’ll be sharing a tapping session as a video so you can tap along with me or simply listen, to support overwhelm and stress. One live Zoom session — How to Build a Nourishing Plate
(Date to be confirmed - I’m currently working on the slides. As always if you can’t make the date they’ll be a recording.)We’ll be going through:
what your plate should actually look like
why we need different food groups
carbs, fats and proteins (and why none of them are the enemy)
taking the overwhelm out of eating
a little bit of food combining to get the most from plant based sources (I know we have some vegans in here)
There is a lot of conflicting advice around food and it can feel exhausting. I’m going to make this easy to understand and practical.
By the end of the session, you’ll know what to eat, why you’re eating it, and how to build a plate without overthinking it.Food and recipes (from scratch)
I’ll be sharing food and recipes I’m making from scratch, as this is how I’m currently saving money. I’ll show you what I’m making for the week, how I’m planning it, and how I’m keeping it realistic. Why this matters to me right now
I’ve put a lot of our finances into our house, and I’ve decided that the end of this year is about experiences rather than pouring everything into that again.
One of those experiences is taking my kids to Disneyland Paris with their cousins, and that’s a big motivator for me at the moment. How I’m approaching food currently
eating as well as I can without perfection
reducing our food budget where possible
being more organised with food
making things from scratch where it actually makes sense
What’s been working really well is buying what I need from an organic food shop where I can weigh out exactly what I need. I’ve spent substantially less than I would have in the supermarket, and it’s helped reduce waste too.
